Individual Counselling in Nature
I offer counselling in a way that feels natural, supportive, and down-to-earth. Sometimes that means sitting together in a quiet room, and other times it means walking through the bush, sitting by the ocean, or pausing under the trees. Being in nature helps us slow down, breathe deeper, and feel more grounded. It also supports the release of endorphins, which can naturally lift your mood and reduce anxiety.
In our sessions, we’ll explore whatever’s on your mind — whether you’re working through something specific, feeling overwhelmed or stuck, or simply wanting to grow and understand yourself better. Together, we’ll build insight into your thoughts, emotions, and patterns, and I’ll support you in learning practical skills like grounding techniques, emotional regulation, and setting healthy boundaries.
Counselling can help you feel more connected to who you are, build resilience, and strengthen your sense of identity. It’s a space to feel heard, understood, and supported — wherever you’re at in your journey.
Animal-Assisted Therapy
In some nature-based sessions, you’re welcome to have Terra, a trained therapy dog, join us. Terra is affectionate and brings a calming presence to the space. Her company can help reduce anxiety and promote a sense of safety by encouraging the release of oxytocin, a hormone that supports connection and relaxation.
It’s completely your choice whether you’d like Terra to be part of your session. Outside of her therapy work, she loves playing fetch, socialising with her human and dog friends, and chewing on bones. Many people find that her playful yet soothing nature brings an extra layer of comfort and connection to the therapeutic experience.
