Hi there, I’m Hayley, and I’m glad you have found your way here.

If you’re reading this, things might feel overwhelming right now. Maybe you're facing a challenge, feeling stuck, or simply looking for a space to slow down and reconnect. Whatever has brought you here, I want you to know you don’t have to go through it alone.

I get it — I’ve been there too. I know what it’s like to look for support and wonder if things can truly get better. That’s why I created True Nature Counselling — to offer a calm, safe, and accepting space for people to feel seen, heard, and gently supported in the direction of healing and growth.

My approach is grounded in person-centred therapy, shaped by the belief that you already have the wisdom within you — sometimes you just need the right environment to rediscover it. I also draw on tools from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), tailoring each session to your unique needs. Whether we're working on emotional regulation, identity, trauma recovery, neurodivergence, or life transitions, I meet you where you're at with compassion, curiosity, and deep respect.

I also believe deeply in the power of nature, movement and animals in healing. That’s why many of my sessions take place outdoors — walking side-by-side on a trail, sitting beneath trees, or sharing space with Terra, my gentle therapy dog who brings comfort and calm to our work together.

I support adults, adolescents, and families — including NDIS participants — in ways that feel natural, collaborative, and empowering. Together, we can explore what matters most and build the kind of life that feels more connected, grounded, and true to you.

When I’m not walking alongside clients, you’ll usually find me hiking in nature, surfing in the ocean, or spending time with loved ones (two-legged and four-legged!).

Qualifications:
I hold a Master of Counselling, a Graduate Certificate in Psychology, and a Bachelor of Environmental Science, along with a Certificate III in Dog Behaviour and Training. My unique background — blending mental health, nature therapy, and animal-assisted support — allows me to offer holistic care grounded in science, connection, and compassion.
